Motorcycle KPH
- MPH Converters |
Do You Need A Electronic or Mechanical KPH to MPH Converter?
Before you purchase
one of these devices, you need to ascertain whether your bike’s speedo
is electronic or mechanical. This can easily be checked by looking at
your front wheel. If there is a cable running to it from the speedometer
then it is mechanical, however if there is an electrical wire going from
the speedometer to the gearbox then you will need the Electronic version. |

Motrax Electronic Kilometre Converter
This is the only device on the
market which has been specifically designed to fully convert not
only your odometer from 'KPH' to 'MPH' but more critically it also
converts your speed from 'KPH' to 'MPH' !
This is by far the easiest
way of fully converting speedometers. It's plug and socket arrangement
complete with Japanese connectors enables the unit to simply plug
into the bikes wiring harness within minutes. Each device is supplied
with a selection of 'MPH' stickers which can be applied to the glass
or dial face.
It incorporates electronic protection from over voltage
and under voltage spikes caused by faulty electric's and mishandling.
As the Motrax Electronic Kilometre Converter is the only device
that will fully convert your speed to 'MPH' and your odometer to
miles it has many benefits over overlays, difficult to fit underlays
and dial replacements.
Also worth noting is that on bikes such as
the new VFR800 that has a digital trip computer it is also automatically
converted to work in miles. |

Mechanical Converter - £34.99
As with the Electronic Kilometre
Converter, the Mechanical version works in the same way, in that
it converts the speedometer and the odometer from kilometres to
miles per hour. It achieves this by the means of a clever little
gearbox connected directly to your speedo cable.
Fits at the top of the cable.
